Asif specialised in tourism and infrastructure development. His focus is on the consequences of infrastructure development on indigenous communities. Asif has a profound understanding of sustainability and resilience as a concept and a phenomenon which served as a core to the longevity of indigenous nations and cultures across the globe. He believes that indigenous communities and their ancestor's farsightedness, planning and binding understanding of shared future laid the foundation of healthy and sustainable communities. These founding principles of collaboration, joint planning, collective resilience was made possible by identifying strengths and diverse skills, which enabled communities to move forward at the time of crisis for collective well-being. He demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, sustainable development, resilience and entrepreneurship skills.
