Consulting for beginners who are interested in learning ethnographic research methods.
I use ethnographic research methods to understand experiences with and solutions to food and water insecurity in various settings throughout southern Louisiana. I have used MAXQDA to complete classic and modified variations of content and text analyses on a range of data sources (audio, video, field notes, workshop or focus group transcripts, and structured, unstructured, and semi-structured interviews). I use these results and accompanying visualizations to add communal perspectives to watershed planning and to help bridge the gap between local knowledge and state policy.
