Trainerdetails

I hold a PhD in anthropology and have used MAXQDA for analyzing qualitative semi-structured in-depth interviews, focus group interviews, audio-visual interviews, archival research materials, as well as survey data. These analyses were conducted with a variety of methodological approaches, including grounded theory, content and mixed methods approaches. I have analyzed data in the fields of cultural identity, migration, refugees’ employment, cross-cultural communication among international students, experiences of disease and illness. Currently I am working through data from projects in the areas of healthcare access for the immigrant elderly, and health benefits of the human-animal connection. Part of my career also involved training graduate students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in acquiring and developing research skills, including the use of qualitative data analysis softaware packages. I have considerable experience designing and teaching content at university level in both, face-to-face and online environments.
